How Heisinger Bluffs became Home

Heisinger Home was established through the vision of Arthur and Lydia Heisinger, who requested in their will that their home and the surrounding property be donated to establish a "home for the aged in Cole County, Missouri."

Heisinger Home became Heisinger Bluffs, as part of Lutheran Senior Services (LSS). LSS commissioned a major expansion of its facilities and services.

Heisinger Bluffs opened St. Joseph's Neighborhood at Heisinger Bluffs West to offer rehabilitation and skilled nursing.

Green Tree Healthcare acquired Heisinger Bluffs. With extensive expertise in the senior living and healthcare industries, Green Tree has a reputation for supportive management, prioritizing personal and compassionate care.
The Place We Call Home
Our two historic buildings are located on Jefferson City's West Main Street, on scenic grounds overlooking the Missouri River. At our main campus, you'll find our communities of independent and assisted living apartments, our Long Term Care Center, and Unity Park Memory Care Center. Heisinger Bluffs West, formerly known as St. Joseph's Neighborhood, houses our Short Stay Rehabilitation program, as well as two floors of Long Term Care.
